From August 2 to August 5, 2022, the Center for Development of Community Initiative and Environment (C&E) organized a training session on the topics: “Air pollution, climate change response, disaster risk reduction”, part of the project component “Building a model of sustainable residential areas in Thanh Khe and Hoa Vang districts, Da Nang city” within the framework of the “ Collective Actions for Water Conservation” project, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and coordinated by the Center for Environment and Community Research (CECR).
C&E shares content on disaster prevention for the core group (Thanh Khe)
The training session took place in Hoa Phong commune, Hoa Vang district on August 2-3 and at Hoa Khe ward, Thanh Khe district, Da Nang city on August 4-5. This is the last training session for the core forces of 5 residential areas, aiming at providing knowledge and enhancing capacity building for the core group on the targets of Sustainable Development Residential Areas. The content of the training session is fully compiled by C&E and experts, and suitable for the residents, ensuring that the core group can absorb the knowledge, thereby developing a specific action plan aiming at achieving the targets set for the neighborhood in which they live.

At the end of the training session, C&E and experts supported the core group to develop an action plan for the indicators on responses to climate change, disaster risk, actions to reduce air pollution, and activities built on local needs and practices. After the training session, the above plan will be selected by C&E and included in the master plan of the residential area, together with the core group and households, starting to implement from August 2022.
