To launch an event to raise students' awareness in water conservation activities in Hoan Kiem, VIWACON coordinated with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the District Department of Education and Training to launch a drawing contest in 21 primary and secondary schools in Hoan Kiem district with the name "Together we protect the water resources and protect the Earth". According to Dispatch No. 364/UBND-TNMT of the district, 21 elementary and junior high schools launched the contest to more than 23,000 students.

After more than 2 weeks of implementation, the contest received an enthusiastic response from students of 21 schools with about 14,000 submissions. Typically, at Nguyen Du Secondary School, the competition was organized by Art teachers in the intensive Art periods of grades 6, 7 and class activities of grade 8 for 2 weeks, from April 2. / 2021 to April 12, 2021. The school received more than 1000 drawings with many ideas, rich and creative forms of expression. The 63 best works were selected from 21 schools and sent to the organizers for the district competition. These drawings then would be displayed at the Earth Day event in Hoan Kiem Lake on April 17, 2021.
