On the evening of May 12, 2022, the Center for Development of Community Initiative and Environment (C&E) - a member of the Vietnam Water Conservation Network (VIWACON) coordinated with the People's Committee of Thanh Khe Tay Ward, Thanh Khe District to implement the plan of building a model of "sustainable residential area" in residential area 2, Thanh Khe Tay ward. The activity is within the framework of the project "Collective Actions for Water Conservation" (CAWACON) supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), coordinated by the Center of Environment and Community Research (CECR) and implemented by the Vietnam Water Conservation Network (VIWACON) along with its partners in Da Nang.

Taking part in this event, households were propagated and popularized models of waste treatment and classification, models of smart water use, air environment protection, etc. This is the first of 5 residential areas of the component “Building sustainable residential areas” the Center for Development of Community Initiative and Environment (C&E) in Thanh Khe and Hoa Vang districts. The component is a part of the project "Collective Actions for Water Conservation" coordinated by the Center of Environment and Community Research (CECR) under the Local Initiative Program sponsored, deployed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Da Nang.
